Bulls take a breather after surprise increase in new unemployment filings.

Last week The Labor Department said initial jobless claims jumped by 35,000 to 445,000. That has been the highest since October and all the way above expectations and that it is driving some early weaknesses! Some type of seperate report now shows that inflation remains the same at a certain level and that it rose 1.1% in december but only 0.2% when stripping out food and energy! "By the closing bell the Dow Jones industrial average was down 24 points to 11,732, the S&P 500 lost 2 points to 1,284 and the Nasdaq surrendered a midday gain to fall 2 points to 2,735."

To be honest I have no idea what this article meant!

Shifting Back to Stocks!
When our economy changes, a lot of other things change with it! Some for the better and some for the worse! In this case it is for the worse because peoples funds are getting lowered ridiculously! David Both, who is now 65, and his wife had about a quarter of their funds in money account market that earned about 3.25% in interest each year! David and his wife had decided to build up their savings but when our whole economy had started to change their interest had dropped to around 0.25%. They both than decided to start shifting their money into stocks and they currently only leave 8% in their savings! They have the money there for an last minute emergency and their anniversary, they both know that it isn't all that much, but they have to work with it! They both believe that if the people in this economy went back to work, that it would help a lot!

I think that it is crazy how much people lives are basically getting harder for them because of money and not having all that much in their savings! Its ridiculous!
